The original master bedroom suite of the house. It is a large bedroom with original parquet floors, a carved fireplace mantel, high ceiling and plaster moldings restored to its original splendor. The two large windows of its semi-circular alcove look into private gardens and the landmark facades of the brick and brown stone buildings of the street. The suite is furnished with two pillow top beds, large television set with dvd player, writing desk, fireside chairs and an art deco dresser. A large needlepoint rug covers the floor; photographs, original watercolors and textiles decorate the walls. An intricate 19th century chandelier hangs from the ceiling and several art deco lamps provide soft lighting for the room. There is ample closet space, high-speed Internet service, a private telephone number, iron and ironing board and our professional staff can meet any special requests. The en suite bathroom contains the original bathtub and sink, in addition to a large rainfall shower. Marble tiles cover the walls and floor, the ceiling is decorated with paneled mahogany and a large window provides natural light throughout the day and a large window gives it plenty of light. The suite can accommodate two, maximum three, guests comfortably.
